Academy IconWe’re hard at work making a new members-only site for people who want to launch and maintain a profitable internet business and escape the 9-to-5. We’ve named it Internet Business Mastery Academy. This will be a place where you’ll get ongoing training that teaches you the latest strategies and tips for succeeding in internet business.

Here’s a quick look at some of the benefits that you’ll get as a member:

  • Insider access to brand new, step-by-step courses that show you how to launch and maintain a successful internet business
  • Ongoing support to help you reach unprecedented success and escape the 9-to-5
  • Opportunities to network with other serious internet entrepreneurs to form valuable partnerships and mastermind groups (this is one of THE keys to success in internet business)
  • A continually updated “Rolodex” collection of the best vendors, resources, information and tools that we find and use including tutorials on how we use them
  • Updates and tutorials on the latest, “shiny and new” tools for your business
  • Checklists, tools and templates that you can put into use right away and see results
  • Video tutorials that allow you to “look over our shoulder” and see exactly how we do things
  • Insider secrets on the latest in Yak grooming and care
  • And even more that we can’t reveal just yet…

We’ve been dedicating hours to creating new content and putting together a resource that will provide you with the things that you’ve asked for.

The launch date has been set for July 16. We’re very excited to get this out there. Stay tuned to the blog and email newsletter for more details soon.

In the meantime, let us know in the comments what else you’d like to see included in the Academy.

Your new membership site sounds interesting.

I’ve been following you guys for a while and I’ve learned a lot from you. My only concern is that you guys are targeting the membership site to people who are just getting started, not people like me who are relatively advanced.

How have you addressed the issue that some of your users will be beginners and some of us have already built a couple of internet businesses and are looking for more advanced information? Should more advanced folks look elsewhere?

Really looking forward to it.

Just starting out and would love to see a section that deals with the best way to find a web designer? I know nothing about this area and with so many options it’s overwhelming!

Knowing the right questions to ask to sieve out the the ‘good the bad and the ugly’ would be really helpful!

Love the podcasts

My yak has been looking a bit natty lately, thank goodness this is coming!

Okay…

I’m on the edge of my seat…

(This is a web marketing technique, isn’t it!)

This sounds great, I have been following you guys on your podcast and twitter for a few months now. You are doing a good job of filtering me through your funnel so I can’t wait to see your new site.

Your podcast has been pretty inspirational and has given me a sort of virtual echo chamber that really did prompt me to take some action to get started on a software business.

@Dale,

Well, the site will be for beginners, at first. Near the end of 2008 we will launch the second part of the site which will be for Advanced business owners!

@Glen,

Yak grooming is going to be a part of the Advanced section to be sure!

@Everyone else,

Thanks for watching! We will do everything we can to exceed your expectations!

Guys,

I have a few questions about the type of “schooling” which be offered at the Academy. Most of the bullet items in this post are self-explanatory, but a couple could have different meanings:

1) “step-by-step courses” that show you how to launch and maintain a successful internet business.

Are these “step-by-step courses” which will guide an Academy member how to build the business from a technical perspective?

“How to physically build a business (web site)?”

or

“How to build the business from a business perspective?”

2) Checklists, tools and templates that you can put into use right away and see results.

By “templates” are we speaking website templates? Such as WordPress themes?

3) Where did you get the “edit timer” you are using on the blog comments.

That feature is most excellent.

Thanks

Mark
