You are right, developing is worth all the money. I wouldn’t pay too much on a high PR domain, but I would do it for a domain

which ranks well for my desired terms.

Auctionwally,

I am not against Flash. I like using it on my sites to stream audio and video. I am just against sites that are 100% run on flash because Google often won't see the content of your site. Just avoid putting any valuable search engine food into a flash player/app. Using it to run audio/video is fine.

Hi guys, great job as usual and I too continue to promote your site on my blog and my other sites.
I have a question. I've just launched a new podcast and I've added the Podpickle player to my blog and my website.
I know your not an advocate of lots of flash and garbage on your site because flash and animation makes your site less important to Google.
The pod pickle player uses the flash format, so would this be something that would make me partially invisible to Google?
Thanks
Oh by the way, to check out my new Auction/Anituqes show go to
www.auctionwally.libsyn.com
Peace

@Mark,

For recording two speaker, a little Olympus is not idea, but the best way to use it is to just have it record both of you with the one mic. Make sure it is picking you both up well.

Since there's only one mic input, you will probably get pretty limited results by doing both mics into the one mini jack. I don't recommend that.

The ideal setup is to get a Marantz PMD 660 with two Shure SM58s. This recorder has two inputs and records them on two separate tracks. However, You're looking at $750-ish for that setup.

Sterling or Jay,

For the life of me, I can't seem to find an answer to the simplest question:

I'm new to podcasting. I just bought an Olympus WS-100 digital voice recorder. I wanna use it to record field interviews. It's got a tiny Mic input.

Question:

Do you conduct field interviews using ONE mic? Passing it from your lips to interviewee? Or do you use 2 mics?

Should I get 2 small clip-on Mics? One for me, and one for interviewee? And then plug them into a splitter and plug that into the Olympus?

Or what?

I've googled this question to death and can't find a simple straight-forward answer! Thanks if you can help!

I'm interested in creating promo videos for the contest. The promo page doesn't seem to be up. I was also wondering if you have a deadline for entries, etc.
Great show so glad you guys are back!
