Yes. You read that right. Right now you can get Camtasia for free (at least at the time of writing this post). If you listened to the last episode of the show you know that Camtasia was a key tool in creating our recent coaching course recordings. So what’s the catch? It’s version 3.1.3. The current version is 5. But version 3 is nothing to sneeze at. So how do you get it?

I’ve been using Camstudio the open source software that is the basis for Camtasia. I’m going to check out Camtasia to see what other bells and whistles it has, but for my purposes (as a video/audio guy) all I need is to capture the screen movement and audio and Camstudio does that. I then take the file into Vegas or Avid and edit to my heart and mind’s content.

Thanks for the information about camtasia. I was looking at how I can get it but this was a gr8 tip.
btw I have downloaded all your IBM podcasts at itunes and listened to them.
They were gr8 resources for me and helped me start my blog. Very useful resources for a beginner and pro alike.
