Underground UpdatesWe’re sitting at Day 2 of the Yanik Silver Underground event with brilliant entrepreneurial minds soaking in the information and energy that an event like this provides. You’ll recall that we recently interviewed Yanik on the podcast. I’ve already taken fifteen pages of notes in Microsoft Word and collected several next action items in my GTD mindmap.

We just sent out top three insights from Day 1 of the event to our email newsletter subscribers. For more gems and insights learned at Yanik Silver’s Underground, watch our Twitter feeds.

Hi guys

Just out of curiosity. Have you feel any impact from the slowing economy in the US? any ideas on how to tap international markets (european, for instance)?

Thanks

Hi Guys – I really enjoy your show – have learned a lot from you both.
I am getting started with affiliate marketing in a new wordpress
blog. Wondering if you have any tips on the best way to hide
the long, ugly affiliate url links for content text links and banner ads?
Keep up the great work! Laura

@Ender,

I firmly believe that your internet business can be built to thrive in all sorts of economic conditions. I have not yet felt any effects from a slowing economy.

@Curt,

I don’t have anything along those lines to recommend.

Laura,

We do two things:

1. Buy a domain and forward it to your affiliate link

2. Create a subdirectory and use a simple php index file to forward it along to the affiliate link.

Hey Guys,
You are our underground gurus…Thanks for keeping us normal mortals posted.

Do you think the Big Seminar in Atlanta is worth it…Frankly, I’m put off by their marketing tactics…I can’t even find out the hotel where it is or when I should get there and have sat through 2 of the annoying video streams…

Thanks!

@Lanya,

I’ve never been to a Big Seminar, however, I know the caliber of people that attend. Networking with those people is the most valuable part of going to such events.

I submitted an audio comment to your comments line and just wanted to say thanks for the great info on the show. May have to do a coaching course at some point.

@John,

Thanks for the audio comment. Congrats on getting featured. I’m a guitar player. In fact, I got a two-year degree in guitar performance and pedagogy while I was getting my engineering degree. I love this kind of stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Hey guys,

So you head off to the big secret seminar and then you drop off the face of the earth. ;>) If I knew where it was held I’d send out a search party, but as it was secret….

Anyway, hope all is well and looking forward to hearing great stories and tips from what you learned.

Take care,

@Grant,

I wish I had an exciting story like being abducted by special agents at the seminar, but acutally we just both went to the beach for vacation. I’m in L.A. right now on my way home to Buenos Aires. More content is coming next week.
