    Hi S & J! Great podcast (as usual). I wanted to add to the thing about eBay support and powersellers that Sterling brought up. There is a phone number provided for support *if* you open an eBay store (whether or not you’re a powerseller). This phone number is provided even with the basic store subscription. Also there is a live chat feature, which as far as I know is available to all sellers. The live chat isn’t quite as good as getting someone on the phone, but it’s sure better than their email. Keep up the great work you guys!

    Hi guys,

    First of all I would like to thank you for doing this podcast; I’m finding it extremely useful.

    I’m currently writing a business plan and it was great to discover a program like FreeMind, thanks for that. My question is about the video tutorial: what software/hardware did you use to make it? I thought it was a great way to learn and I would love to provide a similar service to my future customers. I’m sorry if you see this as a very basic question but I’m a real novice.

    Thanks again for your help.

    I found your podcast under the business section. I thought I’d tune into your stuff, and listened to your episode #1. Loved it. I too was in civil engineering, was horribly dissatisfied a few years ago.
    I’ve been at my own web business, http://bowling-rockabilly-shirts.com. I was also an eBay Powerseller, and tried to make a living through online sales, with varying success.

    I just listened to the Dangers of eBay episode, and fully concur. eBay can (and does) shut down people for hardly any ‘articulatable’ reason. Plus, they recently raised their selling and Final Value fees for Store sellers. As of January 2007, I’m no longer selling my own goods on eBay. I still have a few clients that I’m a Trading Assistant for, but when I liquidate that stock, I’ll probably only buy a few things here and there on eBay. I’m done with them.

    Most of what I learned about selling online comes from Ken Evoy and his SiteSell material. Skip McGrath has some good things, and the folks at Worldwide Brands have a great library. I realize that I need to expand my income streams. I make some $ with affiliate sales and Google AdSense. I’m enrolled in the UW Extension working on Web Solutions Certificate. there are some really good resources on iTunes, lots of great Photoshop tutorial podcasts that can help out Adobe newbies.

    Take Care

    There is often links you say you are going to post in your podcasts that you do not end up posting on your notes. Is there a reason or do you just forget? For instance you said you’d link to the Eauctioneer site that has that story about the watch guy that have his business ruined. You didn’t link and I can not find it.

    @Nick,

    This episode was recorded a long time ago. We probably weren’t as thorough back then at listing our links. We have better systems in place now. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the link to the item you mentioned.

    Thanks for listening.
