Making Goals Worth Something

In the last post I talked about why Goals are Worthless and how to actual be in the proper mindset to even set a goal. Now, it’s time to show you how to make the goals you set useful.

First thing to say is that I don’t call them goals anymore, I call them Fulfillment Targets.

Fulfillment Targets – an objective that will further your Definite Major Purpose and/or something that will bring more fulfillment to your life.

I believe that actually making your dreams appear in reality comes down to 4 steps. Here is the strategy to designing your Ultimate Life to date:

1. Design your Definite Major Purpose

2. Set your Fulfillment Targets

Now, I want to discuss step 3 and 4.

Step 3 is to create a system that will allow you to do the one thing that most people don’t do with the ‘goals’ they have, which is TAKE ACTION.

In the following Video I’m going to show you the system I use to make sure I have my ACTION planned, so it doesn’t just get pushed aside by other daily, pressing needs.

So, now that you have the system in place to make taking action simple and easy, all that is left is TAKING ACTION!

Strategy for Designing Your Ultimate Life:

1. Design your Definite Major Purpose

2. Set your Fulfillment Targets

3. Implement the Action Plan System

4. Take Action & follow the system

So, there you go. That is the way I make sure that my dreams become a reality. It will take some time to set up, but now you have what you need to make sure you never waste time setting a worthless goal.

How to Add a Picture Next to Your Blog Comments

You may have noticed that the new version of our site displays a picture next to each comment on a post. The following video will show you how to have your own photo displayed to all of your comments.

We use a free service called Gravatar to display these photos. The really cool thing is that once you set your photo up, it will display any other WordPress blogs that use the Gravatar system.

This is becoming more and more common, especially on and blogs hosted on WordPress.com. We like putting faces to the names. It also adds a “community” feel to the site. So watch the video below and add your photo now!

It’s time for another video. In this one we show you how we use mindmaps to implement a system based on “Getting Things Done” (GTD) by David Allen. It uses free collaborative mindmapping tools making it useful for teams as well as individuals. It can also be implemented on an individual basis using desktop mindmapping software.
