We’ve talked about some of our favorite books in the past on the podcast. Whenever we find a book that has a huge impact on our lives and businesses, we immediately want to share it with the Internet Business Mastery community.

I wanted to put together a quick blog post about three books that have impacted how we live life and conduct business on a daily basis.

“The E-Myth” and “Getting Things Done” are books that have influenced systems that we use every day. These systems have directly led to accelerated business growth and increased income.

Simply put, they are must reads.

Another must read is, The Four-Hour Workweek (FHWW). When it comes to lifestyle design…this book has significantly contributed to making this happen for us.

FHWW teaches how to start living life now. It blows away the status quo of working your entire life to finally enjoy yourself when you retire. It’s about establishing a lifestyle of fulfillment starting today.

But when we finally a look at the contents of the book, we discovered that we were missing out on quality information. Michael Port teaching mindset concepts that fall 100% in line with Internet Business Mastery.

So we decided to go back and read the first book first, Book Yourself Solid. Then next month we’ll read Beyond Booked Solid which build on his first book.

Sterling and I *don’t* just read a lot of books, we highlight and discuss them, then make mind maps about how to use the information. We thought it would be fun to experience and share this process with the whole community each month by choosing a book to focus on. We’re still working out the details of what to do with it, but here are the ideas that we have so far…

1. Recommend a book on the site and podcast
2. Have a giveaway each month where one or more people will win a copy of the book
3. Discuss the book on the blog or in the upcoming member forums (launching in the near future)
4. Find out what the you think about the book, what you liked most and how you plan to implement what you have read
5. Share with the community what we liked most about the book
6. Share with our private members (again, coming in the near future) a recording of Sterling and I discussing the book (something we often do anyway on the phone) as well as a mind map of our favorite takeaways and how we plan to implement the information in our own businesses
