Buzz Marketing to the NTH degree

by Dean Hunt (Guest)

I met Sterling in Washington in early May. He bought me a beer and has used this to guilt me into a whole host of un-speak able favors. So when I was recently featured on the Digg.com home page for the 4th straight time, he wasted no time in grabbing me and pulling me into InternetBusinessMastery.com for a case study and inside story of my experience.

Firstly he asked me to do an intro about myself, so I need to put on my 3rd person persona….

One minute please…

Ok, here we go:

Dean Hunt has been described as the future of buzz marketing. Starting out with a budget of ZERO, Dean had to find a way of getting the world to hear his message… for FREE. This lead to him developing and mastering techniques that are now known as: “Link Baiting, Buzz Marketing & Viral Marketing.”

Dean is now going to return to 1st person mode…

Hi, I am back.

Here is what I am going to be discussing over the coming weeks:

*The tips and secrets I used to get on the main page
* The psychological tricks I abused to get more Diggs
* How many visitors I got
* How many back links I got
* How my server coped
* The thrill of the chase
* How the story spread
* How you can do the same for ANY article and ANY site.
* What effect it will have in the up and coming page rank update
* The Alexa graphs.
* TONS more….

This is the 4th time I have been on the Digg.com main page, and I have helped other people do the same. There is no magic secret, but there are techniques you can use to give yourself a HUGE advantage.

I will post the entire case study here at Internet Business Mastery.

Warning: This will NOT be a bragging story, it will be an entertaining and informative case study.
Infact, I will get the bragging out of my system before we get started…

Brag alert: Many of my techniques will also apply to marketing in general. Not just Digg.com… for example, I have had over 1 million visitors from StumbleUpon.com and 100,000+ from Slashdot.org

Your feedback: I am off to start writing it, please let me know what you would like me to discuss. I am happy to answer all of your questions.

    Hi
    I have a quick 2 questions regarding SEO.
    1) Does it matter if your webiste is http://www.websitename.com or websitename.com?
    2)When i search for “internet business mastery” on google, I get your main search result…. Under it, i also see results for “Recommended Resources”, October 2005, wordpress. It actually looks great because your entry takes more room and is more pronouced. How do you do that… i wouldn’t mind having that on my website as well. Thanks for your help
